So what does it take to learn to fly?

Flying is primarily a mechanical skill. With a little studying, average coordination, and a bit of old fashioned work, you can learn to fly. With 15-20 hours of flight instruction most student are able to solo, or fly by themselves. That’s it! Most students decide to continue training and get a private pilots license. Private pilots can rent/own aircraft and fly themselves and passengers (almost) any were they want. Then, simply fly for fun or continue with your training.
